Financial Analyst – Digital Value Creation (DVC) team within Transaction Advisory Services (TAS). The role focuses on leveraging financial, operational, and third‑party data to support M&A diligence and analytical engagements.

• Participate in buy‑side and sell‑side M&A diligence engagements and data‑focused engagements.
• Communicate directly with senior business executives and internal stakeholders.
• Gather, evaluate, sanitize, and organize datasets.
• Prepare data workflows to clean and combine data from multiple sources.
• Prepare data visualizations and dashboards to deliver key insights.
• Generate insights on the drivers of business growth, profitability, and liquidity.
• Identify the key business risks and opportunities impacting business valuation.
• Learn and train peers in the advisory practice on data analysis and visualization tools.
• Continuously develop industry knowledge and qualifications.
• Work on multiple assignments simultaneously.

• Major in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Prior experience in either Tableau, Power BI, or both.
• Prior experience with data cleaning, preparation, aggregation, and analysis.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Prior experience with one or more AI LLM tools – ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Exceptional work ethic, high motivation, and a demonstrated ability and desire to work cooperatively with team members and client professionals.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel when required.
• Strong academic performance, professional achievement, and history of client service excellence.
• Experienced Analyst: 1‑3 years of professional experience.

• Prior experience in Alteryx, Dataiku, or similar data analytics, prep, or automation tools.
• 1‑3 years of data analytics experience within the field of transaction services, accounting advisory, or similar fields.
• Prior coursework or other experience in relational database management systems.
• Experience in, or a working knowledge of, Python, SQL, R, VBA, Snowflake, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience in Claude Code or OpenAI Codex.

Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing a competitive total compensation package, which may include discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s estimated salary range for this role is $95,000–$110,000, and actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, and location.
