Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Elite Equipment Rentals is seeking an experienced, operationally focused Controller to lead and strengthen the company’s accounting and financial operations. This role is ideal for a hands‑on financial leader who understands operational accounting, process improvement, and financial visibility within equipment‑intensive industries.

• Lead day‑to‑day accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month‑end close
• Prepare accurate multi‑entity consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Oversee accounting tied to fleet activity, fixed assets, depreciation, and operational cost allocations
• Assist in acquisition accounting from initial purchase through post‑close integration, including purchase accounting, opening balance sheet validation, and alignment of financial processes, systems, and reporting across acquired entities
• Maintain internal controls, financial procedures, and multi‑state compliance requirements
• Support ERP optimization, reporting enhancements, and process automation initiatives
• Coordinate with external CPA firms, auditors, banking partners, and insurance providers
• Partner with operations leadership to improve financial visibility and decision‑making

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience, CPA is a plus
• Experience in equipment rental, construction, manufacturing, industrial distribution, transportation, or operational industries preferred
• Experience managing accounting operations across multiple entities, locations, or states preferred
• Strong understanding of operational accounting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica), system optimization, or process automation initiatives preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast‑paced environment
