Position Summary:

Penn Foster’s Financial Planning & Analysis team provides quantitative, analytical support for business decision-making. Members act as ambassadors to business leaders, linking strategic and operational planning. The Senior Financial Analyst, a key FP&A team member, will have high visibility with senior management and contribute to financial management. Responsibilities include analyzing financial performance, establishing financial plans, supporting business decisions, partnering cross-functionally, and enhancing FP&A tools and processes.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Partner with executives and department leads to create annual budgets and reforecasts.
  • Collaborate with the VP and Director of FP&A on implementing scalable budgeting and forecasting tools.
  • Develop dashboards and analytical tools for measuring financial performance and providing insights.
  • Perform variance analysis of actual results versus budget to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure the integrity of FP&A data and manage reporting improvements.
  • Participate in financial modeling for strategic projections.
  • Create and analyze product line performance and profitability trends.
  • Perform other ad hoc analyses as needed.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA / MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant financial or FP&A experience.
  • 2+ years of financial modeling experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel required.
  • Knowledge of FP&A reporting platforms a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with D365 or other ERP platforms a plus.
