We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Investments team, with a primary focus on underwriting acquisition opportunities, supporting asset‑level and portfolio analysis, and preparing investment recommendations for mixed‑use assets throughout the U.S. The ideal candidate is eager to build a career in commercial real‑estate investments and brings a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
Candidates must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Argus, along with exceptional financial modeling skills.
- Complex Financial Modeling:
Build complex, dynamic financial models to evaluate acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing scenarios, and ongoing investment performance across retail, office, and multifamily assets. - Transaction Due Diligence:
Perform deep‑dive due diligence and financial underwriting of prospective acquisitions and new institutional investment opportunities. - Capital Markets Support:
Support financing and capital markets workflows related to new acquisitions, portfolio refinancing, and asset‑level investment strategies.
- Risk & Performance Metrics:
Perform detailed risk analyses related to occupancy and net operating income ($NOI$), executing break‑even modeling and evaluating market supply, demand, net effective rents, expenses, and capitalization rates. - Credit & Lease Assessment:
Analyze prospective tenant financial statements and leverage industry knowledge to evaluate retail tenant credit risk, drawing data‑driven conclusions regarding the overall impact on $NOI$ and property cap rates. - Proactive Oversight:
Review, interpret, and extract data from complex commercial lease provisions, while actively monitoring at‑risk retail tenants (e.g., sales kick‑outs, co‑tenancy clauses, early termination rights).
- Investment Memoranda:
Assist in preparing highly professional investment memoranda, underwriting summaries, and presentation packages for the executive leadership team, lenders, and institutional investors. - Market Intelligence:
Research target real estate markets, tracking and assessing macroeconomic data, demographic shifts, and localized property trends. - Portfolio Governance:
Develop and maintain investment performance analyses, curate portfolio‑level reporting, and ensure absolute compliance with debt and equity reporting guidelines.
Education & Experience
- Academic Background:
