State and Local Tax Senior Associate

Job Summary

Review and prepare consolidated federal, multi‑state and city tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships and high‑net‑worth individuals. Provide support to clients with tax planning, compliance, and consulting needs. Prepare and review complex tax returns and supporting documents, conduct research to optimize tax strategies, and assist in managing the tax team for planning, maintenance, and execution of client deliverables and engagement economics.

Build and maintain client satisfaction through strong relationships and expertise. Participate in self‑education and develop others in tax learnings, regulations, and industry and technology trends. Coach staff and interns. 5% domestic travel to NY & CA. Reports to Dallas, TX office. Partial telecommuting available 2‑3 days a week.

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, foreign equivalent or closely related field.
• Six (6) months of experience in the related occupation (Graduate Assistant, Intern, or similar).
• Experience in statistical software proficiency; preparing amended tax returns; audit procedures with systems such as Banner and Campus Logic; understanding of tax rules, regulations, state/local tax rules; tax technology, software, and data.
• Certified Member of the Institute (CMI) certification required.

Salary range: $110,032 to $130,200 per year.

Reports to Dallas, TX, but may be assigned to other sites. Domestic travel 5% to NY & CA. Partial telecommuting 2‑3 days a week.
