The senior income tax analyst role supports federal and state income tax compliance and reporting activities for the organization. The position partners closely with management, the US parent company's tax team, and external consultants to prepare consolidated federal and state tax returns, improve compliance processes, and support tax planning initiatives.
Responsibilities- Assist with income tax provisions.
- Research and resolve tax matters.
- Maintain tax depreciation systems and support special projects.
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns (including state tax estimated and extension payments).
- Collaborate with the US parent company's tax group on consolidating U.S. federal and state tax returns.
- Contribute to developing and/or improving income tax compliance processes.
- Assist with special projects such as research and development tax credit claims and other tax planning projects.
- Assist with resolving and responding to tax notices from state tax jurisdictions.
- Work closely with management and external consultants to implement and maintain tax depreciation system.
- Prepare quarterly income tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740/IAS 12, including book‑to‑tax adjustments and general ledger reconciliation.
- Assist management with responding to tax accounting consolidation requests from the parent company.
- Prepare memorandums related to book‑to‑tax differences and income tax accounting issues as necessary.
- Assist with forecasting federal and state income tax expense for budgeting and planning.
- Respond to external auditor requests related to quarterly reviews or annual audit of the tax provision and accrual.
- Assist management with developing and maintaining SOX‑compliant internal controls for the tax accounting function.
- Assist with the preparation of the U.S. deferred tax proof and return to provision process.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in federal and state income tax, with an emphasis on corporate tax in a Fortune 500 company or a national/regional public accounting firm.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with accounting for income taxes under ASC 740/IAS 12.
- Knowledge and experience with accounting for income taxes under ASC 740/IAS 12.
- Skilled in identifying tax planning opportunities, mitigating risks, and leveraging data to drive informed decision‑making.
- Ability to communicate complex tax concepts to cross‑functional stakeholders, fostering alignment and compliance.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a time‑sensitive, fast‑paced environment.
- Strong problem‑solving capabilities with creativity.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

- Previous experience with the financial services industry

Work ScheduleRequires the ability to work various shifts. Typically between 8a.m.–6p.m. Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
