Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Back Office Operations Support Specialist. This role is responsible for the timely processing of work items received through various channels, including system cases, email, and paper mail. The position demands acute attention to detail, effective time management, and clear communication with peers, customers, and internal partners to manage a high volume of work, which can range from 5,000 to 25,000 items per month.
The role involves extensive research and may require outbound calls.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform account reconciliations, including payment allocations, refunds, and account terminations, ensuring all subsequent corrections are processed accurately.
- Manage accounts payable functions by processing vendor invoices and lease citations, conducting research to cross-charge customers where applicable, and reviewing invoices in the exception tool.
- Handle the processing of hostile account terminations such as repossessions and charge-offs, preparing legally compliant notifications for both consumer and commercial accounts.
- Prepare documentation for and process account modifications, including Autopay enrollment, due date changes, extensions, deferrals, and restructures, in accordance with compliance guidelines.
- Manage customer relations by reviewing incoming correspondence, creating and assigning departmental cases, and preparing response letters for outgoing mail.
Required Qualifications
Education:
A high school diploma is required.
Experience:
One year of job experience in Accounts Receivable or Banking is preferred.
Skills:
Candidates should possess excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. The role also requires analytical skills and adaptability to change.
Preferred Qualifications
- A college degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Job experience or education in other accounting-related fields.
- Proficiency in data entry.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour. Further details on benefits will be provided to eligible candidates.
