AboutThe Role
Against an increasingly complex regulatory landscape, the Financial Services practice advises clients to mitigate risk across all stages of business cycles. The Consultant level focuses on gaining foundational expertise in at least one core pillar while supporting the broader practice on engagements.
What You’ll Do- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders by providing strategic guidance on program design, remediation, and transformation.
- Participate in risk assessments, regulatory and compliance reviews, policy and training development, internal investigations, and independent testing.
- Help lead client pursuits by shaping solutions in drafting proposals, contributing to pricing strategies, and supporting go‑to‑market initiatives.
- Identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities across FTI service lines.
- Lead end‑to‑end production of thought leadership pieces, including white papers, annual reports, and research‑driven articles.
We support professional development through coaching, learning opportunities, and certification programs. You will build foundational knowledge of FTI Consulting’s service offerings, develop relationships with financial services professionals, and grow through on‑the‑job learning and self‑guided courses.
What You Will Need to Succeed Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in private or public financial services.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis; no visa sponsorship.
- Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed.
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or Statistics.
- Recognized expertise in at least one financial services subject area.
- Experience on both sides of the industry (in‑house and consulting).
- Extensive expertise in regulatory domains such as AML, sanctions, fraud, credit risk, or other financial services regulations.
- Prior consulting experience within the Financial Services industry.
- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and coordinating policies, procedures, training, and annual client reviews.
- Desire to pursue relevant professional designations such as CFE, CAMS, CRCM, CPA, CFA, or FRM.
Minimum Pay: $91,000
Maximum Pay: $278,000
The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role and is determined by market considerations, business needs, and individual qualifications.
