Our client is a boutique private equity firm that provides debt and equity capital to oil field services companies and is located in Ft. Worth, Texas. The firm is young and growing rapidly, having recently raised capital for its second investment fund and beginning to deploy that capital in the near term. The partners are well‑connected with impressive backgrounds and the firm seeks an ambitious Senior Associate or new VP to support investment and business development activities.

• Initial review of opportunities and development of investment thesis and transaction structure
• Financial modeling and valuation comps
• Due diligence
• Participate in negotiations of acquisition documentation
• Preparation of Investment Committee materials
• Portfolio management, including attendance at portfolio company board meetings
• Active participation in select areas of new business development and transaction sourcing

The position is a career track opportunity where an MBA is not required to advance. An ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

• 4–6 years in private equity or investment banking
• Extensive knowledge of financial and operating models
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Self‑motivator eager to be given substantial responsibility
• Strong communicator, both verbally and in written formats, and with internal and external audiences
• Comfortable in a highly visible role and able to manage stress and pressure effectively
• Energy industry experience preferred but not required
