Corner Stone Professional Placement has partnered with a local bank in their search for an experienced Loan Portfolio Manager to join their commercial banking team. This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity for a credit professional who excels in commercial portfolio management, financial analysis, and credit risk assessment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lending and enjoy working collaboratively with lenders, credit analysts, and executive leadership to maintain a high-quality loan portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor an assigned commercial loan portfolio to ensure strong credit quality and compliance.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis and periodic reviews to evaluate borrower performance and identify emerging credit risks.
  • Maintain accurate risk ratings and recommend changes based on borrower financial condition and market trends.
  • Partner with Commercial Lenders on renewals, modifications, extensions, and overall portfolio management strategies.
  • Prepare annual reviews, credit memorandums, and portfolio monitoring documentation in accordance with bank policy.
  • Monitor financial reporting requirements and covenant compliance, proactively following up on missing information.
  • Manage criticized and classified credits while developing action plans to minimize portfolio risk.
  • Assist in structuring loan terms and covenant packages that protect the bank's interests.
  • Collaborate with Loan Operations, Compliance, Credit Analysts, and other internal departments to ensure sound credit administration.
  • Identify opportunities to improve portfolio monitoring, reporting, and credit administration processes.
  • Maintain professional relationships with borrowers while supporting ongoing financial reviews and reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Professional banking credit training (RMA or formal bank credit program) preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial lending, credit analysis, or loan portfolio management experience.
  • Strong experience analyzing commercial financial statements and assessing credit risk.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate, commercial & industrial lending, and professional practice lending.
  • Understanding of loan documentation, covenant monitoring, and portfolio risk management.
  • Experience managing criticized or underperforming commercial credits.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with lenders, borrowers, and cross-functional banking teams.

    Work Schedule:

    Tuesday-Thursday on-site, Monday and Friday WFH

  • Salary: $36.54 - $45.67 per hour, based on experience
