Join American Airlines as an Analyst/Sr Analyst, Division Finance, supporting a major operating division in a fast-paced global airline. In this role, you will own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, translating operational performance into clear financial insights. You'll develop financial models, KPIs, and dashboards to guide leadership decisions on cost control, fleet and schedule planning, and revenue initiatives. Partner closely with operations, corporate finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, maintain compliance with financial policies, and drive continuous process improvement while contributing to safe, reliable air travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage division budgets and forecasts
- Perform monthly variance and trend analysis on operating results
- Support long-term financial planning and scenario modeling
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for leadership
- Provide decision support for cost savings and revenue initiatives
- Partner with operations and corporate teams on financial performance
- Monitor KPIs and develop dashboards for division leaders
- Conduct ad hoc financial modeling and sensitivity analysis
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and controls
- Continuously improve financial processes, tools, and reporting
