SUMMARY:
The Mortgage Closing Manager is responsible for preparing mortgage loan closing packages to ensure that all necessary documentation has been received, correctly completed, and completed in entirety for a smooth closing. The Mortgage Closing Manager is responsible for overseeing, leading, coaching and assisting the department with the closing process and continuously working towards finding more efficient and effective methods of performing the closing functions.
JOBDUTIES AND
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor staff throughout process of closers review/preparation of loan packages and ensuring that all documents were accurately completed, signed, dated, and received before executed closing.
- Direct the workflow and oversee the work product of the Closing Department.
- Directly oversee employees in the department, lead, and coach employees.
- Accountable to establish and achieve critical Closing performance objectives that reduce the time from initial funding to investor purchase.
- Formulate and recommend new departmental procedures.
- Leads strategic Closing process improvement initiatives to increase departmental quality and productivity while reducing overall Closing operating costs.
- Consistently seeks opportunities to reduce direct and indirect Closing costs.
- Understand and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established by Texas Bank.
- Perform duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records.
- Maintain current and up-to-date knowledge and continues professional development through training as applicable.
- Review and validate any closing costs cures.
- Provide monthly reports of closing cost cures incurred.
- Track and report on daily funded mortgage volume.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Air-conditioned work environment.
- Consistent and timely attendance is required to ensure uninterrupted operational efficiency and exemplary service delivery.
- Sit for extended periods of time.
- Walk, stand, bend, squat, twist, and reach.
- Simple grasping and fine manipulation.
- Extended keyboarding.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field required.
- 5 years of working baking experience.
- Extensive knowledge of mortgage regulations.
- Ability to multi-task, take initiative and meet deadlines.
- Highly computer literature.
- 5 years of management experience preferred.
