The Member Services Representative is responsible for providing exceptional service to members and front-line staff in the servicing of titles for the Credit Union. This role involves handling title processing, ownership transfers, state filings, and lien recordings while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Answer department ACD calls from members. Perform clerical duties necessary to perfect security liens, title transfers, and lien releases. Review, maintain, and track title files and reports. Assist members and Credit Union staff with title processing, ownership transfers, state filings, and lien recordings. Interact with field staff via telephone, email, and fax. Communicate with various state motor vehicle departments. Review loan documents for accuracy and legality.

Create and promote positive name recognition for the Credit Union. Research member inquiries and provide timely solutions. Foster a culture of teamwork, service excellence, and relationship building within the organization. Cross-train on Member Services Representative duties to provide coverage for teller line during morning hours, lunches, vacations, and Saturday rotations (if located in a branch). Ensure the security and confidentiality of all account and related information.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (required). Previous banking or Credit Union experience (preferred). Previous customer service experience (preferred). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Skilled in data entry and operating standard office machines. Excellent member service skills and professional interaction with employees and members. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Spanish language skills (a plus). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
