  • Forecast cash runway and future liquidity needs.
  • Analyze the financial impact of potential hires and major expenses.
  • Build and maintain revenue forecasts.
  • Conduct scenario planning based on changes in revenue, clients, staffing, or expenses.
  • Develop and maintain annual budgets.
  • Build financial dashboards to support ongoing decision-making.
  • Monitor profitability and break-even requirements.
Founder Support

Work directly with the founders to translate financial data into practical business insights and answer questions such as:

  • Can we afford this hire?
  • How much runway do we have?
  • What happens if we lose a major client?
  • What is the financial impact of adding additional team members?
  • How much revenue do we need to break even?
  • How would different revenue or expense scenarios affect profitability and cash flow?
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in accounting, finance, or a similar hands-on financial management role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Quick Books.
  • Experience managing AP, AR, reconciliations, contractor payments, and monthly close.
  • Strong understanding of P&L statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cash runway analysis.
  • Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
  • Ability to build financial models and translate financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
