Payments Operations & Fraud Manager

BELEN Network is recruiting for an experienced Payments Operations & Fraud Manager to support a global digital payments function.

This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in payments operations, fraud management, incident response, chargebacks, and payment performance. The position will work across multiple regions and functions, with a primary focus on the Americas.

The successful candidate will help strengthen payment operations, reduce fraud-related losses, improve payment performance, and support a more proactive approach to revenue protection and customer payment experience.

• Serve as a central point of coordination for payment-related operational issues and escalations
• Investigate payment incidents, identify root causes, and support corrective and preventative actions
• Lead fraud investigations and help improve fraud-prevention processes
• Monitor chargebacks, disputes, payment failures, authentication issues, and fraud trends
• Partner with internal teams and external payment providers to resolve operational issues
• Identify recurring problems and recommend process, system, or workflow improvements
• Support initiatives designed to improve payment acceptance, reduce revenue leakage, and improve checkout performance
• Review payment and fraud performance metrics and help translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, customer experience, data, and fraud stakeholders
• Support the development and maintenance of payment operations procedures and documentation
• Assist with vendor, payment provider, and acquiring-partner performance management
• Help ensure payment operations align with relevant compliance, regulatory, and internal control requirements
• Support global initiatives involving the Americas, EMEA, and APAC

• 3+ years of experience in payments, fraud, financial operations, payment service providers, card schemes, or retail payments
• Demonstrated fraud-management experience within the Americas
• Hands-on experience managing payment incidents, operational issues, and investigations
• Strong understanding of the card payment lifecycle, including authorization, authentication, settlement, chargebacks, and fraud
• Experience working across global or cross-regional teams
• Strong stakeholder-management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to analyze operational issues and communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders
• Strong documentation, process-management, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving and evolving environment

• Experience working with payment service providers, acquirers, fraud-management platforms, or related payment technologies
• Experience with tools such as Cybersource, Worldpay, SAP, or similar platforms
• Experience in e-commerce or multi-channel payments environments
• Experience with Adobe Commerce
• Experience improving payment performance, authorization rates, or fraud outcomes
• Familiarity with PCI DSS and payment-related regulatory requirements
• Experience supporting projects involving payments, fraud, or operational improvements
