The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is looking for a Principal Double Bass for the upcoming season. Auditions will take place on September 14th and 15th, 2026, with resumes due by August 3rd, 2026. The final round of auditions may or may not include a screening process. This position is tenure track and will involve a commitment of 46 weeks plus an additional 6 weeks with a summer stipend.
The principal scale for the season is set at $82,889.56. The start date for this role is expected to be in the fall of the season, or it can be determined by mutual agreement between the selected candidate and the orchestra.
