CERTIFIED MEDICATION AIDE (CMA) - Full Time w/ Alt Weekends

We are currently seeking a Certified Medication Aide at our Ft. Worth Clearfork community. In this role, you will administer oral and topical medications to residents under the scope of practice, as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, and in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations and community policies. The CMA reports directly to the Healthcare Director, who oversees the day-to-day operations of the community's Healthcare department.
Responsibilities- Full Time; 2pm–10pm with alternate weekends
- Provide the required support to assist residents
- Take and record vital signs (e.g., temperature, blood pressure) as directed by medical or nursing staff
- Makes routine rounds on assigned residents in accordance with established procedures
- Promptly communicates any significant changes in behavior or condition to supervisor
- Readiness to perform duties in compliance with state regulations and community policies
- State certification as a nursing assistant is required
- State-approved medication administration certification — Texas CMA permit
- Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nursing assistant
- Highly developed observation skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read medication labels
