OverviewAs a Peer Facilitator, you will coordinate and facilitate Celebrating Families groups with families enrolled in the Tarrant Family Recovery Court program. Celebrating Families is an evidence-based, trauma-informed, skill‑building program for families with children ages birth to 18 years old and their caregivers dealing with, or at high risk for, multiple problems: substance use disorders, multi‑generational trauma, physical and mental health challenges, cognitive deficits due to trauma, genetics, or in‑utero exposure, and safety (child abuse/neglect and family violence).
Training on specific groups offered will be provided. You will be a member of the Family Recovery Court team that is comprised of other community partners.
- Coordinate and facilitate Celebrating Families groups for families enrolled in the Family Recovery Court program.
- Collaborate with the Family Recovery Court team and other community partners to provide integrated support.
- Apply trauma‑informed, evidence‑based practices to support families and caregivers.
- Associate Degree required.
- Health and Human Services field education preferred.
- High school diploma/GED with two (2) years of direct service experience in a health and human services field OR two (2) years of leadership as a parent in assigned geographic area.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
