Prescription Access Liaison - Full Time - JPS Health Specialty Pharmacy

Pay: $62,000/year, DOE - paid as an hourly employee, no overtime expected.

Vytl One (formerly Maxor National Pharmacy Services) is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and customer focused Prescription Access Liaison to join our amazing specialty pharmacy team at JPS Health. An integral part of the care team, the Prescription Access Liaison will work independently and establish strong, credible relationships with patient, clinicians, and internal pharmacy staff to help provide high level, specialized prescriptive care to patients beyond the scope of routine pharmacy practice in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):

  • Answer new referral intake and/or refill calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Accurately input new referrals and update information in designated computer systems as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with referral source to obtain all necessary information to initiate services for new patient referrals.
  • Enter new referral prescriptions into computer and have pharmacist verify accuracy of prescription entries.
  • Contact patients to collect information necessary to establish and maintain pharmacy profiles completely and accurately.
  • Communicate to stakeholders the necessary information to obtain benefit information, authorization, reauthorization, and reimbursement by e-mailing and scanning pertinent medical information.
  • Discuss financial obligations with new patients.
  • Address insurance issues that require alternate funding. Work with clinical staff and patient assistance personnel. Register and/or open patients with manufacturer reimbursement programs, as needed.
  • Follow up on authorizations to ensure they are achieved prior to dispensing.
  • Schedule dispensing calendar for new or refill customers.
  • Set up shipping arrangements as needed.
