Job Title: Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Special Procedures Tech)
Location: Fort Worth, TX 76132
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Call Requirement: After-hours call required – Must be able to take STEMI call
- 12 days of call per 6-week period
- Weekday call starts at 5:30 PM
- 24-hour call on weekends
Required Experience
- Recent Cath Lab experience (Required)
- Interventional Radiology (IR) experience (Required)
- Must be able to operate C-Arm equipment
Required Certifications (Must have at least ONE of the following):
- ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Preferred)
- RCES – Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist
Additional Requirement:
- CMRT (Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist) required if holding ARRT
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare procedure room for examinations
- Assist and monitor patients during procedures (IVs, oxygen, chest tubes, etc.)
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency drugs and equipment therapy
- Administer contrast media and medications per guidelines
- Process and manipulate images
- Analyze image quality and troubleshoot as needed
- Adjust techniques or repeat procedures when necessary
Education
- Degree as Catheterization Laboratory Technician (Cath Lab) or related field
