Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy
Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of healthcare systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Pharmacist
Work Location: 13501 Park Vista Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76177
Duration: 3 months assignment with possible temp to hire
Pay Rate: $60.00 per hour (W2)
Work Schedule: (Mon – Fri) || 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM || 40 hours/week
Must-Have Requirements- Active Pharmacist licenses in both Texas (TX) and California (CA)
- Licenses must be current and in good standing
- Must reside within one hour driving distance of 13501 Park Vista Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76177
- Must be comfortable being on the phone for up to 8 hours per day
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
- 3–5+ years post-graduate experience in pharmacy operations, clinical oversight, and patient care
- Conduct comprehensive clinical reviews of pharmacotherapy, including drug utilization, interactions, side effects, and adherence
- Document pharmacotherapy review outcomes in patient charts for nursing follow-ups
- Counsel patients on new drug therapies per clinical management models
- Complete REMS training and adhere to program SOPs
- Coordinate patient care with clinicians to address social, psychological, and physical needs
- Serve as liaison between patients, caregivers, nurses, and prescribing clinicians
- Provide subcutaneous injection teaching and coordinate nursing services when needed
- Provide on-call coverage as directed by the Pharmacist-in-Charge
- Process prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner
- Verify discontinuation of services and deactivate patient profiles as appropriate
- Perform intake for new referrals via telephone
- Uphold Biologics’ commitment to “outrageous customer service”
- Dispense medications in compliance with physician orders and all applicable laws
- Adhere strictly to Medicaid, Medicare, and government payer regulations
- Verify prescription order entry and final product accuracy
- Assist pharmacy technicians with claims adjudication
- Monitor hazardous waste management
- Supervise aseptic technique and pharmacy technicians
- Report adverse events and product quality complaints per regulatory requirements
- Maintain CE requirements per Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Support professional development of pharmacy staff
- Maintain continuous learning and attend industry conferences as applicable
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist licenses in TX and CA
- BCOP certification or willingness to obtain when eligible
- Prior experience supporting specialty pharmacy patient programs
- 3–5+ years of pharmacy operations and clinical experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with pharmacy systems and documentation tools
- Working knowledge of sterile technique and quality assurance standards
- Ability to apply for additional state licensure as required
- Experience in specialty pharmacy or biologics environments
- Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation
