Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth (THSW) is a 222-bed full-service facility that includes surgical and imaging services, a 24-hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth has served Tarrant County residents since 1987, with over 1,100 employees, 120 volunteers, and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff.

The hospital is a Pathway to Excellence designated hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, a designated United Health Premium Surgical Spine specialty center, and has earned Quality Respiratory Care Recognition from the AARC.

THSW Certified Surgical Tech’s will assist in robotic procedures including urologic, gynecologic, and general surgery. They will also assist in 10 OR suites providing services in Orthopedic, Ortho/Spine, Podiatry, Plastics, Vascular, Gynecology, Urology, and General Surgery.

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 (Req)
• Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology (Upon hire – Req)
• Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology (Upon hire – Pref)

1 year of current operating room experience (Pref)

• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and graduate of an accredited surgical tech program (Upon Hire – Req)
• Or CST with alternative eligibility depending on prior employment history (Upon Hire – Req)
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology (2 Years – Req)
• LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse (Upon Hire – Req)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Req)
