Work location:

Texas Health Southwest – Fitness Center, 6301 Harris Parkway, Suite 100, Fort Worth, TX 76132

Work hours:

Part-time, 24-hours/week, between 7:00AM-6:00PM, schedule varies, no weekends and no federal holidays. Flexible schedule.

Physical Therapy Department highlights:

  • Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Magnet designated facility
  • Focus on Orthopedics/Joint replacement – knees, hips, total joints as well as some high school & weekend athletes.
  • An orthopedic clinic with a lot of post-op hips and knees and some spine patients. A small clinic embedded in a fitness center.

Qualifications

Here's What You Need

  • Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy program upon hire Required.
  • No experience necessary, however prefer 1 year prior Physical Therapy experience.
  • PT
    - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS
    - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Problem-solving ability;
    Ability to teach others.
  • Time management skills;
    Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.
What You Will Do

• Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.

• Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.

• Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.

• Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.

• Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel

• Focus on Daily Living Skills, Mobility and Cognition of patients.
