You will be part of a team that delivers clinically effective psychological and psychiatric services, significantly improving the overall health, well-being, and clinical outcomes of residents. Your work will include diagnostic assessments, individual, group, and family psychotherapy, psychological testing, and more.

Deer Oaks has been a cornerstone in the long-term care community, providing consistent on-site psychological and psychiatric services. Our clinician-led multidisciplinary team is composed of psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, board-certified geriatric psychiatrists, and advanced practice clinicians. We pride ourselves on our exceptional clinical leadership and expertise in geriatric behavioral health, ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care.

• Doctoral Degree
  :
  Ph.D. or Psy.
  
  D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
• Completed Internship
  :
  Completion of an APA-accredited internship program.
• EPPP: Must pass EPPP prior to coming on board with Deer Oaks.
• Provisional Licensure
  :
  Eligibility for provisional licensure as a psychologist in Texas.
• Background Check
  :
  Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Professional References
  :
  Provision of professional references, including clinical supervisors or academic mentors.
• Strong Communication Skills
  :
  Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ethical Conduct
  :
  Adherence to the APA Code of Ethics and state regulations.
