- Prepares, cooks and serves food in a sanitary manner according to posted menu using furnished standardized recipes and procedures
- Assures food is served at proper temperatures and at scheduled times
- Responsible for serving diets according to physician’s diet orders
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Health care dietary experience preferred
- Food handler’s certification card
- Must enjoy working with residents and have good interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work with and relate to residents with dementia
- Must be able to work independently, efficiently and effectively
- Must be able to follow written procedures and communications
- Must present self in a professional manner and appearance at all times
- Must be dependable, honest and trustworthy
- Must be able to supervise staff in the absence of Dietary Manager
- Must have positive attitude with concept of culture change
