- Document all elements of the physician and patient encounter into the HER – Electronic Health Record
- Understand basic ICD-10 documentation and current billing requirements.
- Retain adequate knowledge of medical terminology.
- Comply with PHI laws (HIPPA/HITECH) in addition to local facility department policies and procedures.
- Perform non-clinical tasks specific to each facility as directed by Physician and Chief Scribe.
- Education Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED - Proficient typing, concise communication
- Working Environment: work is performed in hospitals, emergency departments.
- Working Conditions:
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, moving.
