Member needs hands-on caregiving support due to limited mobility related to an above-the-knee amputation and recovery needs following major abdominal surgery. Caregiver will assist with safe transfers and repositioning, provide support with personal care, and help maintain comfort and hygiene throughout the shift. Member also requires assistance with ostomy care support (emptying/changing supplies as needed per care plan), skin care monitoring, and keeping the living space clean and sanitary to reduce infection risk.
Ideal caregiver is dependable, patient, comfortable with personal care, and confident assisting with mobility support and hygiene routines. Experience with ostomy support is a plus (training/plan guidance will be followed).
Personal Care Assistance:Bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting/incontinence care as needed, and hygiene support.
Mobility & Safety Support:Assist with transfers (bed/chair), repositioning, fall prevention, and general safety monitoring.
Ostomy Support (Per Care Plan):Assist with emptying/changing ostomy supplies as needed, maintaining cleanliness, and observing/reporting concerns to the agency per policy.
Light Housekeeping:Tidying, sweeping/mopping as needed, laundry, changing bed linens, cleaning kitchen/bathroom areas used by the member, and trash removal (especially hygiene-related waste).
Meal Support:Meal preparation, light cooking, and cleanup after meals (following any dietary guidance provided).
Medication Reminders:Provide reminders only, as allowed by the care plan (no administration).
Smoking & Home Environment:Member is a smoker. Caregiver should be comfortable working in a smoking environment and follow agency safety guidelines.
