Job DescriptionMember needs a dependable caregiver to provide hands‑on support and safety supervision due to chronic knee pain and back‑related balance concerns. Primary focus is fall‑risk prevention, steady assistance with walking/standing, and help with daily routines on higher‑pain days. Ideal caregiver is patient, calm, and confident assisting someone who may move slowly, experience stiffness/weakness, and benefit from reassurance and a supportive presence.
RequiredDuties (Texas STAR+PLUS Caregiver Requirements)
- Personal care: assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene as needed
- Mobility support: standby assist with walking/standing, safe transfers, and fall‑prevention supervision
- Light housekeeping: tidying, sweeping/vacuuming, dishes, laundry, and maintaining a safe walkway/free of clutter
- Meal support: meal prep/cooking, kitchen clean‑up, and encouraging regular meals/fluids
- Errands (if requested): accompany member to essential errands as needed (driving may be required if shopping/errands are added)
- Comfort & companionship: calm presence, reassurance, and supportive conversation
- Safety monitoring: observe changes in condition, report concerns to agency, and follow the care plan
