Senior Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answering phones.
Schedule:Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 5:30PM CST, supervisor to determine schedule

Primary Responsibilities:- Provide leadership, guidance, support and direction for the front office and non-clinical staff
- Function as first contact for customer service issues
- May assist to coordinate work of other team members
- Resolve complex issues rarely deferring to supervisor/manager
- Serves as PSR mentor and trainer and provides expertise as SME to PSR staff
- Lead may need to be willing to travel within their own market for coverage, training, support needs, assisting with training newly acquired clinical locations, etc.
- May perform regular PSR duties to include greeting patients; complete check-in and check-out tasks; collecting co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles; answering phones, scheduling appointments, re-direct calls as appropriate, and assist callers with questions or concerns within the PSR scope
- Onboards new PSR's
- Trains PSR's
- Safety Champion
- Clinic Policy/SOP champion, develop awareness/knowledge of SDO process to assist CA in administrative preparations
- Actively involved in assisting with the role out of any new training
- Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:- High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone
- 3+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment
- Intermediate level of proficiency in PC software computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and other departmental specific programs/applications
- Previous experience with medical insurance
- ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
- Prior experience with EMR computer applications
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of general office procedures
