Position: Valet Attendant: Daily Cash Tips ($13 - $15/hr Avg!) - Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown

SUMMARY

The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting guests with luggage, and providing information and support during arrival and departure.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor; use guests’ last names.
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location. Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette and post up in designated areas when not completing tasks.
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously. Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed, and open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries. Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and main attractions in the area. Deliver messages, items, and/or guest amenities as requested. Shuttle guests to approved locations.
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival. Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys. Consistently complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt. Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED.
  • Licensure:
    Valid driver’s license for the state of employment (or within a commutable distance).
  • Work Experience:

    One month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge:
    Understanding of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Skills:
    • Read and write standard English.
    • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
    • Write simple correspondence.
    • Present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients, and employees.
    • Perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with numbers up to three digits and with U.S. currency.
    • Read and understand 24‑hour and military time systems and applicable rates.
    • Operate a manual transmission (desired) and perform parallel parking.
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

Hourly base pay: $11 per hour plus $13–$15 per hour in tips. Open availability Monday–Sunday. Shift times: 7:00am–3:00pm ($11/hr) or 3:00pm–11:00pm ($13/hr).

SCOPE & AUTHORITY

The role is routine with adherence to established practices and procedures. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to talk or hear; sit or stand for extended periods; run, walk, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Requires vision for close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus. Lifting up to 100lb occasionally, 50lb frequently, or 20lb constantly. Majority of work outdoors in extreme heat or cold; travel up to 5% may be required.
