All while cultivating community and building upon the tradition of excellence that has defined Colonial since it was established in 1936.The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all housekeeping operations throughout Colonial Country Club, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and presentation are consistently maintained.
This position leads and develops the housekeeping team, manages daily operations and quality assurance programs, coordinates facility readiness for club events and tournaments, and ensures all areas of the Club reflect the exceptional standards expected by members and guests. The ideal Housekeeping Manager for Colonial Country Club is a visible, engaged, and service-driven leader who takes personal pride in maintaining a world-class club environment.
This individual combines operational excellence, attention to detail, strong leadership, and a passion for hospitality to ensure every facility consistently reflects the prestige and tradition of Colonial Country Club.
Job Responsibilities:
Recruit, hire, onboard, train, supervise, and develop housekeeping staff.
Establish performance expectations and maintain accountability for all team members.
Conduct employee evaluations, coaching sessions, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
Develop work schedules and staffing plans to support daily operations, special events, tournaments, and peak business periods.
Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, respect, and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular departmental meetings and communicate operational priorities and expectations.
Lead by example through visible engagement and active participation in departmental operations.
Develop succession plans and identify opportunities for employee advancement and growth.
Oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation of all club facilities.
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual cleaning schedules.
Ensure all housekeeping tasks are completed to established club standards.
Conduct regular inspections and quality audits of facilities and employee performance.
Coordinate deep-cleaning projects and special cleaning initiatives.
Respond promptly to housekeeping requests and facility-related concerns.
Ensure readiness and presentation standards for all member events, tournaments, banquets, and special functions.
Maintain departmental documentation, inspection records, and operational reports.
Qualifications:
Required Minimum of five years of progressive housekeeping experience.
Minimum of three years in a supervisory or management role.
Experience in a private club, luxury hospitality, resort, hotel, or similar service-focused environment.
Demonstrated experience managing employee performance, training programs, and departmental budgets.
Strong customer service and hospitality orientation.
Preferred Private club experience.
Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH) or similar professional certification.
Experience supporting large-scale events, tournaments, or high-volume hospitality operations.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
