The Senior HR Generalist has a wide variety of duties and responsibilities. This position requires a meticulous, detail‑oriented, analytical, and strategically minded professional who has the innate ability to anticipate needs, multi‑task, and bring projects to successful completion. In this role, you will take ownership of HR matters from recruitment to performance management, compensation reviews, disciplinary actions, and learning and development initiatives.
The Senior HR Generalist ensures consistent application of HR policies, maintains compliance with employment laws, and helps foster a safe, productive, and engaged workforce. This role is onsite in Fort Worth, Texas.
- Develop, implement, communicate, monitor, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and technologies, aligning with UMNA’s goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations and required reporting.
- Oversee all tasks related to the recruiting and hiring process, including maintenance of the ATS platform and creation of offer letters.
- Lead and support HR projects and initiatives as assigned driving process improvements and operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR‑related issues.
- Conduct workplace investigations, manage disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
- Manage OSHA compliance and workers’ compensation claims and reporting.
- Extensive knowledge of HR functional areas, processes, best practices, and employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, effective relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to analyze HR metrics and provide insights and recommendations.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify, recommend, and implement improvements to HR processes, policies, and procedures.
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Demonstrated ability in employee and labor relations.
- Results‑driven project management capabilities with a track record of successfully leading and completing initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree desired.
- 3-5 years of experience supporting a manufacturing workforce (salaried and hourly).
- HR certification desired (PHR/SHRM‑CP).
- 5 years of experience in an HR operational role required.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and technologies.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Indoors, in an office environment, with temperature control.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
- Travel up to 10% of the time, with the potential for international travel.
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal;
extensive reading; the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
