Position Summary

The Recruiter is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract, engage, and hire qualified talent across the organization. This position plays a key role in building and maintaining proactive talent pipelines for hard-to-fill positions, including early childhood education and other mission-critical roles. The Recruiter partners with hiring managers, Workforce Development, and the Communications team to implement recruitment strategies that strengthen the organization's employer brand and attract diverse, mission-driven candidates.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and onboarding support.
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and high-volume positions, including early childhood education and other critical roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and ensure timely hiring.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to support social media recruitment campaigns and other employer branding initiatives.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, colleges, universities, workforce boards, and professional associations to expand candidate pipelines.
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and community outreach activities.
  • Coordinate and manage internship and workforce development partnerships, including intern recruitment, placement, and engagement.
  • Track, analyze, and report recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, applicant flow, and hiring trends, and provide recommendations to improve recruiting outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, organizational policies, and hiring procedures.
  • Support onboarding activities and contribute to initiatives that improve the candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support the operational needs and mission of the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting for hard-to-fill positions, preferably in childcare, nonprofit, education, or human services.
  • Experience building proactive candidate pipelines using a variety of sourcing strategies.
  • Experience managing internship or workforce development partnerships preferred.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit organization preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Strong interviewing, relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
