Human Resources & Payroll Specialist
Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources & Payroll Specialist to support day-to-day HR operations and payroll administration. This role is responsible for managing employee lifecycle processes, processing payroll, maintaining HR records, administering benefits, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to delivering accurate and efficient HR and payroll support.
Key Responsibilities- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, system access, and benefits enrollment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records.
- Develop, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content.
- Support employee relations, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
- Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate scheduling, and offer administration.
- Process payroll accurately and on time for employees across multiple locations.
- Maintain payroll records, resolve payroll discrepancies, and process employee status and compensation changes.
- Administer employee benefits programs and coordinate open enrollment activities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, wage and hour regulations, and company policies.
- Support HRIS and payroll system administration while identifying opportunities to improve HR and payroll processes.
- Collaborate with leadership and finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and reporting.
- 2–3 years of experience in Human Resources and payroll administration.
- Experience processing payroll for multi-site or multi-location organizations.
- Knowledge of employee onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and HR operations.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, employment laws, and wage and hour compliance.
- Experience maintaining confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and supporting cross-functional teams.
