Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Benefits & Compensation Analyst for an opportunity in Fort Worth, TX. This role supports the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of compensation and employee benefits programs while partnering closely with Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, and organizational leadership. The Benefits & Compensation Analyst will leverage HR data, market intelligence, and analytical expertise to evaluate compensation practices, monitor benefit plan performance, support annual compensation and enrollment cycles, and develop actionable reporting for leadership.

Key Responsibilities Compensation Administration & Analysis
  • Conduct market pricing and compensation benchmarking analyses using salary surveys and market data.
  • Support annual compensation planning, including merit increases, promotions, market adjustments, and incentive programs.
  • Analyze internal and external compensation data to evaluate market competitiveness and pay equity.
  • Review job descriptions and assist with job leveling, position classification, and job evaluation activities.
  • Develop compensation models and recommendations for new and existing positions.
  • Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, analyses, and presentations for HR leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Monitor compensation practices for compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Maintain accurate compensation data and supporting documentation.
Benefits Administration & Analysis
  • Analyze employee benefits utilization, participation, costs, and trends.
  • Support annual open enrollment activities, including planning, system testing, reporting, and employee communications.
  • Monitor benefits eligibility, enrollment, and compliance activities.
  • Partner with benefits vendors and internal stakeholders to research and resolve escalated issues.
  • Evaluate benefit program performance and identify opportunities to improve cost effectiveness and employee experience.
  • Assist with ongoing administration and analysis of employee benefit programs.
HR Data Analytics & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports related to compensation, benefits, headcount, workforce metrics, and other HR data.
  • Perform regular data audits to maintain accuracy and integrity across HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Analyze workforce trends, turnover, compensation expenses, and benefits costs.
  • Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functionality, including formulas, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
  • Translate complex HR data into clear findings and recommendations for business stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Project Support
  • Participate in HR technology implementations, system upgrades, testing, and optimization initiatives.
  • Document business requirements and collaborate with HRIS, Finance, Payroll, benefits vendors, and other stakeholders to implement solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline compensation, benefits, and reporting processes.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and organizational changes related to compensation and benefits programs.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, data quality, and employee experience.
  • Provide analytical and project support for broader Total Rewards and HR initiatives.
Compliance & Governance Support
  • Support compliance activities related to compensation and employee benefits programs.
  • Maintain policies, procedures, supporting documentation, and audit records.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, regulatory reporting, and data requests.
  • Monitor changes in compensation and benefits regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Ensure sensitive employee and compensation information is handled accurately and confidentially.
