ResponsibilitiesThis entry-level contract role supports an enterprise Cybersecurity team by performing foundational security and identity-related operational tasks under the guidance of senior analysts. The Security Administrator will assist with day-to-day security operations, identity and access management support, and security monitoring activities while gaining hands-on exposure to real-world cybersecurity environments.
Responsibilities include monitoring and reviewing security alerts using SIEM and other security tools, reviewing logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, endpoint protection, and email security platforms, and assisting with the investigation of suspected phishing emails. All findings are documented and escalated according to established procedures. The Security Administrator will also support identity and access management activities, including user access support, authentication controls, and access policy administration.
This role is operational and support-focused and does not involve leading investigations or making independent response decisions.
This position is designed to reduce analyst workload while providing practical, enterprise-level experience for early-career cybersecurity professionals.
Requirements- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as threats, vulnerabilities, authentication, and incident response
- Familiarity with identity and access management concepts such as Single Sign-On (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and access policies
- Exposure to Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) or similar identity platforms through work, labs, internships, or academic projects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility to participate in a rotating evening or overnight shift during a defined coverage period in mid-2026 to support continuous security operations
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, endpoint protection, or email security platforms (tool-specific experience not required)
- Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Network+
- Zero to three years of IT, cybersecurity, or related experience
No professional cybersecurity experience required
40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
