Information System Security Manager; ISSM Level 5

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is searching for an experienced Enterprise Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to join an exciting opportunity within the Classified Cyber Security team.

• Provide hands‑on technical assistance for complex systems and networks, leading strategic planning for current and future network configurations.
• Plan and implement security domains, including cloud computing and Dev Sec Ops .
• Interpret the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) to determine technical Information Assurance (IA) requirements and ensure proper security implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Develop system documentation for authorization, security management, and continuous monitoring of classified systems.
• Perform system auditing, vulnerability risk assessments, assured file transfers, configuration management, and investigations of IA‑related security incidents.
• Provide cybersecurity education and training to all system users.
• Mentor and guide junior technical security professionals.
• Travel on short notice as required.

• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Minimum DoD 8570 IAM Level‑III or ‑Series advanced qualification (CISM, CISSP, or equivalent).
• Prior ISSM or ISSO experience.
• Experience with RMF as a Subject Matter Expert and implementation across large programs.
• Technical project leadership skills, including analysis from cyber, technology, and business perspectives.
• Experience with technical security requirements across multiple domains (Operating Systems, Networks, High Performance Computing, etc.).
• Experience with Special Access Programs and the Joint SAP Implementation Guideline (JSIG).

• Team player with strong collaboration and motivation skills across multiple locations.
• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience executing security hardening on Linux and Windows systems based on DISA STIGs and SRGs.
• Experience with network design processes, understanding of security and operational objectives.
• Experience deploying and hardening software‑defined infrastructure.
• System administration experience.
• Knowledge of standard security and network tools and applications.
• Proven communication skills with senior stakeholders and security agencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Energetic, highly motivated, and passionate about cyber technologies.
• Experience or knowledge of Earned Value Management for government contractors.
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle or Configuration Management.
• Experience with cloud migration or cloud infrastructure security (AWS, Azure, etc.).

The annual base salary range for this position varies by location:

• California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding major metros), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, Washington DC: $134,000 – $236,325.
• Most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York: $154,100 – $267,145.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
