This position is integral to the secure deployment, maintenance, and automation of classified network infrastructure, ensuring compliance, resilience, and agility within a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.

You will work hands‑on to integrate security into every phase of the network lifecycle—from design and development to operations and monitoring—supporting Lockheed Martin’s strategic platforms including Advanced Development Programs (ADP), F‑22, and JSF.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Dev Sec Ops  engineer with a focus on secure network infrastructure, automating provisioning, compliance checks, and incident response across classified environments.
  • Maintain and secure network hardware, including Cisco switches, Palo Alto and Juniper firewalls, and Type 1 encryption devices.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) where applicable, and integrate network configuration management into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, repeatable deployments.
  • Utilize and secure tools like Cisco ISE, DNA Center, and Call Manager, ensuring consistent security policies and monitoring.
  • Collaborate across cyber, development, and operations teams to embed security practices throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Support network vulnerability management, remediation efforts, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards (e.g., STIGs, RMF).
  • Participate in planned infrastructure upgrades, including installation and structured cabling of network components in classified environments.
  • Apply continuous monitoring and log analysis to identify anomalies, enforce security baselines, and improve operational visibility.
Basic Qualifications
  • Secret Clearance
  • Proven experience in network engineering within classified or DoD environments.
  • Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops  practices, including automation, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and secure system configuration.
  • Experience working in an Agile team.
  • Hands‑on experience with network security tools, firewalls, encryption devices, and secure system hardening.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, architectures, and layered defense models.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Desired Skills
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or other configuration management/IaC tools.
  • Experience with scripting languages Bash, Power Shell, Python.
  • Experience with GIT, preferably Git Lab, and GITLAB CI with automated testing.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or VMware.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture, microsegmentation, or software‑defined networking (SDN).
  • Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes) in secure networks.
  • Current Security+, CCNA Security, or CISSP certifications.
  • Understanding of DoD RMF, NIST 800‑53, and compliance frameworks for classified systems.
