Network Administrator

Overview

Leidos’ Flight Service Program in the Homeland - Air Traffic sector has an opening for an IT Network Administrator at the Ft Worth TX Flight Service Data Center. The role supports 24x7x365 Flight Service IT operations in a complex multi-platform environment, assisting general aviation pilots with flight briefings, search and rescue activities, ground‑to‑ground communications, and air‑to‑ground communications systems.

• Support after‑hours maintenance and hardware installations during third shift using a maintenance window.
• Resolve reported issues independently, ensuring minimal risk during active production operations.
• Administer domain resources and process security for Leidos internal network and Flight Service deployment.
• Provide desktop software support and perform "break/fix" operations on all Flight Service operational equipment 24x7x365.
• Coordinate third‑party maintenance for network and office automation equipment and troubleshoot issues with department users.
• Assist Leidos Corporate technical teams in solving network/application/system problems in the facility.
• Support file server monthly patching and vulnerability updates.

• Weekly inventory asset management updates.
• Daily problem ticket processing.

Monday–Friday, 8‑hour shift, 40 hours per week. Must support emergency and off‑hour support during maintenance windows: scheduled 10:00pm–6:00am Monday–4th; emergency 24x7 Monday–Saturday.

• Server administration for Microsoft Windows Server 2019 and above.
• Desktop application support (MS 365, AutoCAD, PDFGear, MS Project, MS Visio, VMWare Workstation).
• Rack and hardware installations in computer room environments.
• Ability to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
• U.S. citizenship required due to contract requirements.

• Microsoft MCSE.
• Solid background in Desktop/Server and Network installation and support.
• 5+ years LAN/WAN support to enterprise networks.
• Telecom support – fiber patch cable installations within computer rooms.
• CAT5/CAT6 cable installation within computer rooms and facility.
