Data Integration & Pipeline Engineer

Job Summary

The Data Integration & Pipeline Engineer builds and maintains reliable, scalable data pipelines that power analytics, reporting, and operational systems. This role ensures data flows efficiently across platforms while embedding technical controls for quality, performance, and observability.

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• Integrate APIs, third‑party data, and operational systems
• Design and optimize curated (bronze/silver/gold) data layers
• Automate data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of pipelines
• Troubleshoot data failures and performance bottlenecks
• Embed validation checks and quality controls within pipelines
• Support MDM integrations and data synchronization processes
• Collaborate with Governance & Quality Engineer to implement steward‑defined rules

• 5+ years in data engineering
• Strong SQL and programming skills (Python, Scala, etc.)
• Experience building pipelines in cloud data platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Dev Ops practices for data
• Understanding of data modeling concepts and data warehouse/lakehouse design

• Experience implementing data quality frameworks, validation rules, and pipeline testing
• Familiarity with metadata management and data catalog platforms (Collibra, Alation, Purview)
• Experience supporting analytics and BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Experience working in agile data teams with strong collaboration between engineering, governance, and analytics
