IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing technology projects that support Stevens Transport’s business operations, compliance requirements, and digital transformation initiatives. The role requires a strong balance of transportation knowledge, project management expertise, and communication skills to ensure IT solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. The position is on-site at Stevens Transport HQ in Dallas, Tx.
Responsibilities- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, including software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and system integrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (Operations, Finance, Safety, HR, etc.) to gather requirements and define project scope.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and third‑party vendors to ensure proper execution and support.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects comply with security, regulatory, and industry best practices.
- Drive process improvements within IT project management standards and methodologies.
- Support management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies across the company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry.
- Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
- PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certification (preferred).
- Experience in transportation management systems (TMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP), or fleet management software (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Trello, or similar).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
