Description
Leidos' Flight Service Program in the Homeland - Air Traffic sector currently has an opening at our Ft. Worth TX Flight Service Data Center. This is an exciting opportunity to use your Network Administration experience to help the Flight Service ongoing mission.
Responsibilities- Support 24x7x365 Flight Service IT operations in complex multi‑platform environments for general aviation pilots safety briefings, search and rescue activities, ground‑to‑ground and air‑to‑ground communications systems.
- Maintain the deployed Leidos Corporate internal network—file servers, desktops, notebooks, printers—in the Ft. Worth facility.
- Provide after‑hours support working independently to resolve issues, implement new hardware in production computer rooms, and complete tasks that cannot be performed during first and mid‑shift operations to minimize risks.
- Maintain expertise with routers, multiplexers, hubs, bridges, gateways and other networking hardware.
- Coordinate third‑party maintenance for network and office automation equipment and troubleshoot problems for department users; support network engineers as needed.
- Handle Break/Fix of all Flight Service operational enterprise equipment and desktop software support; administer domain resources to ensure secure and viable internal Leidos and FFSP Flight Service systems.
- Support Office 365 applications and assist Leidos Corporate technical teams in solving network/application/system problems within the facility.
- Perform monthly patching and vulnerability updates on file servers.
- Install and support production desktop workstations, network components, telco interfaces, servers, appliances, and other system components in production computer rooms.
- Collaborate with a larger team of Subject Matter Experts in the Network and Security Operations Teams to repair all automation equipment within the facility and FFSP enterprise networks.
- Proven Server Administration support for Microsoft Windows Server 2019 and above.
- Proven Desktop Application support (Microsoft 365, AutoCAD, PDFGear, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, VMware Workstation).
- Experience with rack and hardware installations in computer room environments.
- Ability to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
- U.S. citizenship mandated by contract requirements.
- Microsoft MCSE certification.
- Solid background in Desktop/Server/Network installation and support.
- 5+ years of diverse LAN/WAN support to enterprise networks.
- Telecom support – fiber patch cable installations in computer rooms.
- CAT5/CAT6 cable installation within computer rooms and across the facility.
- Weekly Inventory Asset Management Updates.
- Daily problem ticket processing.
Generally Monday–Friday, 8‑hour shift, 40 hours per week. Must support emergency and off‑hours support, including critical maintenance windows (scheduled 10:00 pm–6:00 am, Monday–Thursday; emergency 24 x 7, Monday–Saturday).
Pay Range$73,450.00 – $ (annual). Pay is based on responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and other factors.
