Principal Functional Architect

Be the functional and/or technical expertise entry point in Offer Optimization products, specifically Dynamic Pricing, for complex and cross‑functional department solutions analysis and recommendation. This is a hybrid position requiring in‑office presence 50% of the time.

• Serve as functional/technical expert in Offer Optimization products and act as a primary point of contact for complex solution analysis.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure high level team performance and formally train specialists and senior specialists.
• Understand and translate how main business drivers impact the area.
• Assess complex problems with broad impact, improve processes, recommend solutions, and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Work autonomously under management direction, lead or contribute to cross‑functional projects, and support resource and budget planning.
• Participate in pre‑sales and upsell activities, interacting with product managers and customers to fully understand business needs and constraints.
• Balance customer expectations with Amadeus strategy to develop actionable proposals while maintaining global consistency and feasibility.
• Present solution recommendations to stakeholders and explain technical information in simple terms.
• Plan, conduct, and direct analyses of highly complex business problems, scope missions, and define deliverables.
• Coordinate development (DEV) and product (PDA) teams, and oversee other technical consulting analysts on large projects or services.
• Define action plans, guidelines, and conduct in‑depth reviews of client business activity, processes, tools, skills/knowledge, organization, structure, strategy, and objectives.
• Maintain product quality with Product Definition and Development teams, translating customer feedback into detailed business requirements.
• Facilitate cross‑team communication to ensure clear understanding of requirements and consistent product solutions.
• Extend expertise beyond the own domain to investigate impacts on Amadeus solutions and products, ensuring proper resolution.
• Build a network of points of contact across functional areas.
• Model operational excellence and apply best practices in project and risk management for incremental value delivery.
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders and executive sponsors.
• Support customers in understanding Amadeus organization, processes, and solutions, guiding transformation of change‑management processes from waterfall to agile mentalities.
• Encourage small‑scale experiments and prototypes to reduce risk and ensure continuous value delivery.
• Collaborate in preparation workshops and regular Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE) ceremonies for each Program Increment.
