Position Overview

The Director of Digital Project Delivery is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and executing the digital delivery strategy for a large-scale capital project program. This leader will drive the integration of digital tools, data governance, and advanced delivery methodologies (e.g., BIM, Digital Twins, Common Data Environments) to enhance project efficiency, cost control, risk management, and stakeholder transparency. This role partners across engineering, construction, IT, and executive leadership to ensure digital capabilities are embedded across the full project lifecycle—from planning and design through construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities Digital Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and implement the end-to-end digital project delivery roadmap aligned with program goals and timelines.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on digital engineering, construction technology, and data-driven project delivery.
  • Establish governance frameworks for digital tools, platforms, and standards across the capital program.
  • Lead a high-performing digital delivery team, including BIM managers, data specialists, and technology leads.
Project Delivery Integration
  • Integrate digital delivery approaches into engineering, procurement, and construction workflows.
  • Ensure effective use of BIM (Building Information Modeling), GIS, and digital twin technologies.
  • Oversee development and management of a Common Data Environment (CDE) for project collaboration.
  • Partner with project controls to align digital tools with cost, schedule, and risk management systems.
Technology Implementation
  • Evaluate, select, and deploy project delivery technologies (e.g., Autodesk, Bentley, Procore, Oracle Aconex).
  • Ensure seamless data integration across platforms and stakeholders.
  • Drive adoption of automation, AI/analytics, and field technologies to improve productivity and quality.
  • Establish data standards, interoperability protocols, and cybersecurity controls.
Data & Analytics
  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks and information management strategies.
  • Enable real‑time dashboards and reporting for executive visibility into project performance.
  • Leverage predictive analytics to identify risks and optimize decision‑making.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility across the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, construction, IT, finance) and external partners (EPC firms, contractors, consultants).
  • Influence executive leadership on digital transformation priorities and investment decisions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for digital delivery initiatives across all project phases.
Change Management & Adoption
  • Lead organizational change management strategies to drive adoption of digital tools and processes.
  • Develop training programs and user enablement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
