Job Summary
The Venue Technology Assistant supports the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio/visual (A/V) and venue technology systems across the property. This role is critical in ensuring that all A/V and IT‑related equipment is functioning efficiently for events, guests, and internal teams.
Essential Functions- Assist with installation, configuration, and setup of A/V equipment, including wiring, cabling, racks, displays, projectors, microphones, and related hardware.
- Support ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of venue A/V systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Conduct routine system inspections, preventative maintenance, and quality assurance checks.
- Document all installation activities, maintenance tasks, inventory, and equipment updates accurately.
- Respond to internal A/V and venue technology support requests quickly and professionally.
- Track equipment repairs, coordinate RMAs, and maintain organized logs of inbound/outbound hardware.
- Assist in generating reports related to system performance, maintenance schedules, service needs, and incident resolution.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and implement system changes.
- Serve as an on‑site point of contact for A/V support during events, meetings, and venue operations.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of venue systems, organizational standards, and technology protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication across all departments and leadership levels.
- Support additional technology‑related duties assigned by Venue Technology leadership and Legends management.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, electrical engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience accepted).
- 1–3 years of experience in A/V installation, configuration, maintenance, or related technology support roles.
- Experience with professional A/V systems such as Dante, Q‑SYS, Crestron, Shure, or similar platforms preferred.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve A/V and IT hardware issues.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety practices, and A/V best practices.
- Experience with Microsoft and Mac OS environments, system administration basics, and office productivity software.
- Relevant certifications (CTS, manufacturer‑specific, or networking‑based) are a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, event‑driven environment with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift equipment and perform physical tasks related to installations and system maintenance.
- Reliable transportation required.
