Job SummaryThis role provides operational leadership and day-to-day oversight for the administration, maintenance, and integration of Tarrant County College?s (TCC) physical and virtual servers, on-premises infrastructure, and enterprise platforms. This position oversees and manages the implementation and operational support of systems within division-established enterprise hosted platforms and systems infrastructure frameworks, ensuring system availability, reliability, and performance. This role leads a team of IT professionals, executing technology operations in alignment with IT division standards, architecture governance, and institutional technology direction.
PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities
- Oversees day-to-day system performance monitoring, coordinates remediation of infrastructure issues, and reports operational metrics to senior leadership
- Manages resolution of user access issues and vendor access within established identity and access management protocols and security standards
- Oversees and manages software installation, patching, version control, and lifecycle maintenance across on-premises servers and enterprise systems
- Administers and maintains system backup, recovery, and business continuity operations in accordance with division-approved procedures, recovery objectives, and institutional continuity standards
- Guides the development, maintenance, and standardization of system scripts, automation tools, and operational run books
- Reviews and approves technical documentation, change management requests, and system logs to ensure compliance with standards and institutional policies
- Leads root cause analysis and resolution of complex or recurring infrastructure issues, coordinating resources and escalating as appropriate
- Oversees and manages enterprise directory and identity management services (e.g., Entra related identity platforms), including administration of access policies, organizational structures, user provisioning, and operational standards in alignment with IT division architecture standards and governance frameworks
- Oversees and manages a team of IT professionals in administering enterprise applications, servers, infrastructure platforms, and third-party enterprise systems integrated within the institutional technology environment
- Partners and coordinates with IT teams, academic departments, and campus staff to align infrastructure services with institutional and operational needs
- Leads project planning, execution, and monitoring for infrastructure initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget
- Oversees and manages enterprise network naming, resolution, and messaging infrastructure services (e.g., email and collaboration platforms such as Exchange, and related enterprise communication systems) for externally facing sites and internal enterprise services in accordance with IT division architecture governance and institutional security standards
- Manages departmental budget planning, forecasting, and expenditure oversight in alignment with institutional financial guidelines
- Oversees daily work activities, provides training and guidance, monitors performance, and ensures work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Performs advanced or more complex functional work alongside staff while supporting departmental operations and service delivery.
- Provides direct day-to-day leadership and guidance to staff to support effective task completion and employee development.
- Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Works under the supervision of the assigned department leader

RequiredMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Two (2) years' working experience supervising (e.g., leading people, processes, programs, or projects that included planning, execution, and monitoring of outcomes)
- At least one (1) year(s) professional working experience in a higher education environment
