Dev Ops Engineer II
Location:
1501 LBJ Fwy, Suite 140, Dallas, TX, 75234 (telecommuting to various U.S. locations permitted).
- Develop and maintain tools to ensure the smooth operation of cloud‑based solutions.
- Design and deploy tools that support continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.
- Perform system and network administration for the platform.
- Manage platform deployment across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Samsung Cloud.
- Use Docker to deploy and manage containers and support Kubernetes and Hadoop environments.
- Monitor infrastructure health using an ELK stack.
- Identify performance optimization opportunities and implement solutions to improve system efficiency.
- Administer databases on the platform, including MS SQL and MongoDB.
- Develop and debug custom integration service tasks.
- Conduct performance tuning and apply application upgrades and patches.
- Implement and sustain CI/CD pipelines covering the journey from code commit to production deployment.
- Support continuous integration and deployment tooling with Docker, Kubernetes, and Hadoop.
- Work with cloud operations (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Samsung Cloud), Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and database administration.
- Apply security best practices within the cloud environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborate with the security team to conduct audits and implement improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related foreign equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Dev Ops role, including performance tuning, application upgrades, patches, and CI/CD tooling.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Samsung Cloud.
- Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and infrastructure‑as‑code tools, especially Terraform.
- Database administration skills with MS SQL and MongoDB.
- Strong knowledge of containerization, orchestration, networking principles, and cloud security best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to design and build highly reliable distributed systems in a cloud environment.
- Ability to consider non‑functional requirements—security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability—during solution design and implementation.
