Select Medical is looking for a proactive, results-oriented Technology Operations Specialist II. This position is responsible for providing company-wide technical services in the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnosis of networked endpoints, peripheral equipment, and software. The Technology Operations Specialist II will be responsible for providing endpoint, printing and mobile device support as well as application, network, and telecommunication infrastructure support.

This position is responsible for following up with users on all outstanding problems logged through the Solution Center and serves as a resource for the Technology Operations on-call rotation. The Technology Operations Specialist II reports to the Supervisor, Technology Operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Regional Technology Operations Specialist to join our IS team and provide endpoint device, application, and basic network infrastructure support for our hospitals in the Dallas region, which includes:

  • Select Specialty Hospital – Dallas Downtown 2700 Walker Way Desoto, TX 75115
  • Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation -- Fort Worth 6601 Harris Pkwy Fort Worth, TX 76132
  • Future Select Specialty Hospital – Grapevine 4201 William

    D. Tate Ave, Grapevine TX 76051
  • Numerous BSW outpatient therapy clinics in the Dallas/Fort Worth region.
Responsibilities
  • Respond to Solution Center referred trouble tickets; provide or assist in providing end user support for network software, operating system, hardware and peripheral equipment, and troubleshoot as necessary. Ensure that all IS problems are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Escalate all "out of scope" issues to proper IS departments or vendors in a timely manner following company procedures. Complete any activities, tasks, and/or projects as assigned.
  • Install, troubleshoot and diagnose software/hardware issues with Windows desktops and laptops, iOS tablets and smartphones, printers, various medical devices and networking equipment.
  • Monitor and report on any security violations related to the unwarranted access to corporate data.
  • Work with corporate IS teams and coordinate vendors in the planning and installation of desktop computer hardware, mobile device hardware, software, printer repairs, cabling for local area networks, and other IS projects.
  • Support endpoint deployment activities for business development initiatives, including hospital moves, openings, and acquisitions. Participate independently or with a team performing equipment upgrades or decommissioning and recycling of obsolete devices.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to network infrastructure, data cabling and location of equipment and software revisions.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • In lieu of an undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Systems.
  • 3+ years of hands on, end‑user support for endpoint devices, operating systems and network infrastructure devices.
  • Regular regional travel is required, and availability beyond standard business hours to address mission critical issues that may affect patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Desktop and laptop hardware, iPad, and peripheral support experience (HP & Ricoh printers, Fujitsu/Ricoh scanners, etc.).
