Contract Opportunity:
Network Security Architect (Vendor-Agnostic)

Location: Remote (U.S.

-based preferred)

Type: 6–12 Month Contract (with extension potential)

The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Network Security Architect to lead the design, evaluation, and implementation of enterprise-grade network security solutions across a diverse IT landscape. This role requires a hands-on expert who can operate across multiple leading security vendor ecosystems and translate business needs into scalable, secure infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities

• Architect and design secure network solutions, ensuring resilience, scalability, and compliance.
• Evaluate, select, and integrate solutions from top-tier vendors such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper, Zscaler, and others.
• Lead and document threat modeling, network segmentation, and security posture assessments.
• Collaborate with IT, Dev Ops, and compliance teams to implement secure-by-design practices.
• Conduct vendor comparisons and recommend optimal tools/technologies based on organizational needs.
• Create technical documentation, reference architectures, and implementation guidelines.

Required Experience

• 7+ years in network security architecture or engineering roles.
• Deep expertise across multiple major security vendors, such as:
• Strong understanding of secure networking: firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SD-WAN, NAC, Zero Trust.
• Familiarity with frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise or hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Nice to Have

• Experience with automation (Terraform, Ansible, Python) in security operations.
• Background in incident response or security operations center (SOC) design.
