Teradata Admin Lead

Overview

Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for the quality assurance and test execution for the Salesforce application. The role involves designing, developing, analyzing test plans and strategies, writing and executing test cases, and troubleshooting defects.

• Determine integrated testing solutions with cross-dependencies between organizations and programs; develop data and environment strategies to meet performance, usability, reliability, and security needs.
• Perform Unit Testing, Functional Testing, Smoke Testing, Stress Testing, Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing covering the Salesforce customer experience.
• Provide software engineering services including quality control, production support testing, and liaison to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development, product management, project management, and leadership to adopt appropriate technologies and platforms aligned with technology vision, roadmap, and strategy.
• Drive consistent standards, tools, and best practices to improve application reliability.
• Develop creative options and alternate testing/release strategies to meet aggressive time-to-market goals.
• Establish clear SLAs for testing/delivery partners and teams; monitor SLA compliance for quality, maintainability, scalability, and security.
• Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
• Design repeatable, verifiable, and traceable test cases and ensure feature traceability.
• Assess impact of new features on existing automation scope and plan maintenance; create automation development and execution plans.
• Coordinate Sprint/Release planning with Test Architects/Testers; oversee E2E Test Reporting and Metrics.
• Lead, guide, and support team members; streamline QA/QE processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Advocate for QA practices and continually add value to the customer experience.
• Ensure compliance to the Test Process and defect management as a primary focus.

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Test Automation including planning, assessments, script development and maintenance, preferably in a cloud environment.
• 15+ years of overall experience in IT.
• 10+ years of experience in Teradata Administration.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux Administration and Architecture; ITIL-based operations management.
• In-depth knowledge of Data Warehousing and Teradata Administration.
• In-depth knowledge of Security, Performance, and Monitoring.
• Scripting experience to write code and automate repeatable processes.
• Experience with automation tools like Git and Jenkins.
• Cloud/VM experience deploying and administering apps on VM, with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
